The sámi sun collection

The sun has held an important place in Sámi mythology and culture for centuries. Beaivi, the Sun, was associated with light, warmth, life and renewal.

The symbol used in this collection is based on a traditional sun symbol found on a historic Sámi ceremonial drum. The Sámi Sun Collection brings this ancient visual heritage into contemporary jewellery, designed in Sápmi.
